The "Classic" Black and White!

First, let me say Happy Valentine's Day to all of you fashion beauties, or if you're in the single woman's club, such as myself, then Happy Galentine's Day - either way, make today a great one!!

I really enjoyed this shoot. It was a pleasure to work with such a great photographer with a keen sense of capturing life's moments (SHOUT-OUT to Perfect Moments Photography) and shoot at some really dope locations, in 74-degree weather, in the month of FEBRUARY! I have always been into fashion, so recently, I decided to create a fashion blog and use it as a way to FashionablyXpress my own unique, personal style. We're living in a world where fashion is constantly evolving and people pride themselves on looking good, even if only taking a trip to the grocery store (which, I can't deny, Adidas sweatpants and a hoodie are typically my go-to, but that's just me). However, my desire is to be a part of this ever-changing movement of fashion. Despite, the various styles/fashion trends that are constantly evolving in the world of fashion, the "classic" black and white combo. will never go out of style and generally one can never really go wrong when wearing the two colors together. What were once considered to be the go-to colors for professional interviews has now taken on a whole new look and feel. This "classy chic" inspired look was purchased from White House Black Market (the sleeveless coat dress, white button up, faux leather pants, and earrings); giantvintage.com (the mirrored lens sunglasses); pandora.net (rings); and Justfab.com (the black glitter booties).

The coat dress, which I am absolutely in love with can be worn in a variety of ways; however, I chose to pair it with black faux leather pants, which are both comfortable and chic. The coat dress is ideal for a day to night transition and can also be paired with jeans, a skirt (I personally would go with a faux leather skirt - click here or here or a skirt that flares out), or by itself with some thigh high boots during the fall/winter months, or even a heeled sandal during the spring. The faux leather pants are also versatile and can be paired with a heeled sandal as well - worn with practically any color blouse and blazer; you can even pair it with a sweater and a scarf. In fashion, one goal, in particular is to create a variety of looks with the same piece of garment. I incorporated the silver mirrored lens sunglasses as a way to pull the whole look together and to add a little edge and a bit of a retro feel - not to mention it was a beautiful, sunny day! Nonetheless, these are just a few suggestions, but style is unique, so you can pair these items with anything that your "fashion heart" desires!

Each item purchased from WHBM cost me well under $150.00 - each item was on sale with an additional 50 percent off. Not to mention, I was also able to use a $20.00 off of $100.00 coupon. The black glitter booties were on sale for $20.00 - now that's a "cute" deal! These booties can be worn with skinny jeans, leggings, a dress, or a skirt and are ideal for a day in the office, or a night out on the town. Hope you have enjoyed reading this post as much as I have enjoyed writing it. Stay tuned for more styles and inspiration!
